Robert Half Controller in South St. Paul, Minnesota

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller in South St. Paul, Minnesota. This role revolves around overseeing all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing accurate and timely financial statements

• Conducting journal entries and cash reconciliations

• Developing and implementing financial strategies, plans, policies, and procedures

• Supervising and managing a small team of employees

• Ensuring compliance with all applicable rules, laws, and regulations

• Assisting with accounts payable and receivable tasks

• Communicating financial information to management effectively

• Maintaining the general ledger and ensuring its accuracy

• Applying knowledge of accounting functions, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), auditing, budget processes, financial statement preparation, cash reconciliations, and general ledger. Requirements • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a Controller role or similar senior-level finance position

• Demonstrated proficiency in managing Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proven track record in Auditing, Budget Processes, and Financial Statement Preparation

• Proficiency in Cash Reconciliations and General Ledger management

• Advanced understanding of financial regulations and standards

• Strong analytical, decision-making, and management skills

• Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; advanced degree or certification such as CPA or CMA preferred

• Proficiency in financial software and databases

• Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
