Robert Half Receptionist in Southfield, Michigan

Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Receptionist in SOUTHFIELD, Michigan. This role revolves around managing communication within our telecom provider company. Operating in a busy environment, the Receptionist will be handling multiple phone lines, greeting visitors, performing various office functions, and reporting to the management.

Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple phone lines, ensuring all incoming calls are answered promptly and directed to the appropriate department or individual.

• Greet visitors, ascertain the purpose of their visit, and guide them accordingly.

• Perform various office functions such as distributing mail, scheduling conference rooms, and data entry tasks.

• Report to the management regularly, providing updates and escalating issues as needed.

• Support other staff members by managing their schedules, arranging meetings, and performing other administrative tasks.

• Utilize various software for communication and data management.

• Manage conflict effectively, ensuring all customer inquiries are resolved in a timely and professional manner.

• Handle a high volume of inbound calls, providing information and resolving queries efficiently.

• Maintain an organized and efficient communication system, including email communications and dialing systems. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 2 years experience as a receptionist or in a similar role

• Demonstrated ability to manage switchboard phones (10 - 30 lines)

• Proficient in performing receptionist duties

• Experience in answering multi-line phone systems

• Strong conflict management skills

• Knowledge of dialing systems

• Excellent email communication skills

• Experience in handling inbound telephone calls

• Proficient in answering inbound calls and managing high volume inbound calls

• High school diploma or equivalent is required

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to multitask and prioritize

• Proficient in MS Office Suite and other relevant software

• Strong customer service skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
