Description

Are you ready to uncover the un-tapped potential of a career in Consulting? If yes, Robert Half’s team of highly skilled consultants may have a spot for you.

What you’ll do:

The Senior Internal Auditor will conduct/lead operational and financial audit projects for domestic and international operations, as well as prepare end-to-end process documentation including narratives, control descriptions, risk control matrices, test plans and test results evaluations. In addition, the Sr. Internal Auditor will be responsible for reviewing and determining the reliability of internal controls, supporting annual risk assessment and corporate Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, preparing audit reports, drafting reports and communicating engagement results to process owners and management to ensure timely remediation of internal control deficiencies.

Other role’s requirements: Coordinate with external auditors, supervise and mentor staff assigned to projects. Provide technical consultations to management on regulatory compliance and increase efficiencies/reduce costs by enhancing current processes and procedures. Maintain proficient-level knowledge of SOX-related technical guidance and standards (i.e., PCAOB, SEC, COSO) through ongoing research, training, and monitoring of news/events.

The Senior Internal Auditor will also work on special projects including acquisition due diligence, assist in preparing materials for Audit Committee meetings and participate in meetings with the company’s executive management team.

What we’re looking for:

An ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree with 5+ years of relevant experience and 1 or more years of experience in auditing and/or SOX compliance. Exceptional communication skills that provide the ability to interact with all levels of the organization with a high customer service orientation are a must, given the extensive finance, accounting, and financial auditing knowledge this candidate will have. Additionally, the strongest candidates will demonstrate proven analytical skills – including defining problems, collecting relevant data, drawing valid conclusions, and recommending improvement/corrective actions. Strong knowledge of and work experience in Sarbanes Oxley requirements with a proficiency in risk assessment and risk-based auditing is strongly desired.
