Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in SOUTHFIELD, Michigan. The role involves a multitude of functions in the accounting industry, where the successful candidate will be responsible for tasks ranging from processing financial data to maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full process of accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely and accurate payment processing.

• Conduct bank and general ledger reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.

• Carry out month-end close procedures, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.

• Maintain and manage the General Ledger to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Prepare comprehensive financial statements to provide insights into the company's financial status.

• Prepare trial balances and rectify any discrepancies.

• Process payroll accurately and efficiently, ensuring all employees are paid on time.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting, including using functions such as VLOOKUPS and Pivot Tables.

• Adapt to using various accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP to handle diverse financial tasks.

• Demonstrate strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills to effectively interact with other teams and resolve any issues. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Competence in Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations

• Understanding of General Ledger

• Ability to prepare Journal Entries

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Knowledge of NetSuite

• Familiarity with Oracle

• Proficiency in SAP
