Robert Half IT Finance Manager in Southlake, Texas

Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Finance Manager located in Southlake, Texas. The role involves overseeing IT finance responsibilities, maintaining budgets, and preparing financial reports. The workplace environment is highly dynamic and requires the use of various software systems for effective management of financial data.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee IT Finance responsibilities, including maintaining IT operating and capital budgets.

• Report on contractor activity for any missing work hours or invoices, and prepare month-end accruals.

• Review various cloud hosting usage reports and prepare accrual for expenses incurred.

• Manage the Purchase Order (PO) process and prepare accrual for any expenses incurred.

• Advise on any accruals on a Monthly or Year End Basis.

• Work with the Corporate Tax and Technical Accounting departments on accounting treatment of IT spend.

• Prepare the monthly IT reporting package for review.

• Assist in monthly review, maintenance, and reconciliation of various balance sheet accounts.

• Assist in the Spend Request process to ensure proper accounting for IT hardware and other project-related costs.

• Reconcile and review balance sheet accounts related to SaaS and prepare monthly amortization entries.

• Maintain proper documentation for processes pertaining to position.

• Assist in the planning, execution, and reporting of special projects undertaken by IT Finance. Requirements • Proficient in the use of 3M accounting software systems

• Extensive knowledge and experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with CapEx budgeting and planning

• Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Experience with the About Time time management system

• Knowledge of general accounting functions

• Experience in auditing financial statements and processes

• Familiarity with budget processes and planning

• Knowledge of compliance laws and regulations in the finance industry

• Ability to manage financial risks and uncertainties

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field

• Professional certification such as CPA, CFA, or similar is a plus.
