This company, based in the Southlake, Texas area, offers a challenging and multi-faceted opportunity where effort is rewarded. Candidates with the ability to to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close will be preferred. To succeed in this role, you will need to be comfortable participating in compliance, interacting with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and reviewing schedules reporting processes. This position is ideal for someone with a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.
Produce analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for reporting by management
Arrange schedules for capital lease and monthly payments
Assemble journal entries and thorough account reconciliations that include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Special projects and impromptu reporting, upon request
Compose journal entries and conduct the month end close with minimal supervision
Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable
Regularly maintain and reconcile journal entries
Maintain intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation
Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers
Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls. Also ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP
Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation
Become well-versed in month end balance sheet account reconciliations
Partake in a variety of department-wide initiatives Requirements - Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
experienced organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Recent and relevant accounting experience
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
Efficient in ERP systems
Demonstrated ability in strong analytical, quantitative and social skills
Microsoft Excel experience
