Description
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Web Applications Developer with a strong background in building scalable, high-quality, and high-performance web applications on Java technology stack. This person will utilize their 5+ years of experience with the Java programming language to develop, enhance, and manage web applications that meet both technical and customer needs.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure web applications using Java and related technologies.
Use your deep understanding of web technologies to create and enhance software that meets business requirements.
Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle - requirement analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
Collaborate with team members to identify, prioritize, and execute tasks in the software development life cycle.
Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
Ensure that all systems and applications are effectively secured and safeguard user data.
Troubleshoot applications and implement fixes for issues encountered.
Provide technical support and guidance, including software installation, implementation, system troubleshooting, and software updates.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and propose ways to use them in current and upcoming projects.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant field.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Web Applications Developer using Java and related technologies.
Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment.
Knowledge of coding languages including Java, XML, and frameworks/systems such as AngularJS and Git.
Deep understanding of web services software architecture and design (including security).
Experience with databases and Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks.
Excellent problem solving and time management skills.
Good team player with the ability to operate independently when needed.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
