Robert Half Human Resources (HR) Assistant in Sparks, Nevada

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Human Resources (HR) Assistant in Sparks, Nevada. You will be providing administrative support to the HR department, ensuring safety protocols are adhered to, and handling various HR-related tasks. This role falls within the industry of human resource administration and is based in a professional workplace setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with HR administration duties including maintaining personnel records and ensuring all training documentation is accurately updated.

• Facilitating new employee orientations twice a week to familiarize new hires with company policies and procedures.

• Assisting with the execution of HR Compliance responsibilities such as running i9 verification to confirm the eligibility of employees to work in the U.S.

• Preparing paperwork related to disciplinary actions and terminations, while not directly making the final decisions.

• Conducting safety audits, documenting third-party incidents, and filling out claims to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.

• Handling workers' compensation claims on the administrative side, which includes tracking claims and data entry.

• Participating in the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new employees into the company.

• Being part of the process to resolve any HR-related issues or inquiries from employees.

• Supporting the HR team in implementing HR policies and procedures in line with the company's strategies and goals.

• Assisting with other HR administrative tasks as needed. Requirements • Demonstrable experience in Human Resources (HR) Administration

• Proficiency in HR Compliance

• Experience in Onboarding and orientation of new employees

• Knowledge and experience in conducting Safety Audits

• Familiarity with HR software and digital platforms

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field would be beneficial

• Problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset

• Willingness to continuously update knowledge in HR regulations and best practices

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
