A thriving company is working with Robert Half to find a talented Accounting Manager. This is a successful organization that will recognize your efforts. You might be a good fit for this position if you can lead daily operations, such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable. If you have the ability to create and monitor the company's accounting and finance operations, you will be preferred for this position. This Accounting Manager position is a terrific opportunity for permanent employment that is located in the Spartanburg, South Carolina area.
What you get to do every day
Play a key role in the implementation of NetSuite Financials, which includes system and process design, data migration, testing, training, and go-forward system administration
Lead and encourage the full accounting team performance during the closing process to ensure deadlines are met
Assemble a variety of technical accounting policies, procedures, and analyses
Possess a working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
Work closely with FP& A and accounting management to create relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook
Contribute to the preparation of GAAP financial statements, which includes document preparation, data analysis, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes
Periodically review and inspect the balance sheets and income statement accounts of Senior Accountants
-Ability to handle daily, weekly, monthly accounting functions
-Reconcile all balance sheet and income statement accounts monthly or as needed
-Prepare monthly financial statements and other weekly reporting tools
-Various other responsibilities related to managing the accounting and administration department
Requirements
Requirements:
-5+ years of experience Accounting Experience / Public Accounting Preferred
Bachelors / Honours Degree required; Masters or CPA Preferred
Proven technical skills
Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions
Accounts Receivable (AR)/ Accounts Payable (AP) experience preferred
Adeptness in Excel Formulas
Demonstrated knowledge of NetSuite
Budget Processes experience
Customer service oriented communication skills
Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
Creative problem solver who anticipates risks and opportunities and maintains a vision for continuous improvement
