Our client is seeking an Attorney with expertise in Real Estate Law to join their team in Spartanburg, South Carolina. This position primarily involves overseeing real estate closings in adherence to South Carolina legal requirements, supervising the preparation of real estate loans/closings, and maintaining clear communication with closing agents and clients.
Responsibilities:
Conduct real estate closings in accordance with South Carolina laws
Supervise the preparation of real estate loans and closings
Review approved title commitments, ensuring clarity of title work without liens, judgments, or encroachments
Review lender documents, clarifying terms and conditions to clients and addressing queries
Draft legal documents as needed for upcoming closings
Ensure accurate closing statements and disbursement of funds
Requirements
• Must hold a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to South Carolina is required
• Demonstrable experience in the practice of Real Estate Law
• Proficiency in managing real estate closing processes
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to handle large volumes of work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills
• High level of professionalism and confidentiality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
