Description
Robert Half is currently seeking an experienced, organized Senior Accountant to join their team for a permanent opportunity in the Spokane, Washington area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be required to perform financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This position offers you great long-term potential and a strong compensation and benefits package. Your responsibilities in this role
Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives
Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests
Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

Requirements - Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
Able to manage time well
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus
Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines
Efficient in ERP systems
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
Skillful in analytical, quantitative and social skills
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Proven knowledge of GAAP Accounting
General ledger experience desired
Knowledge of Balance Sheet Reconciliation
Deep understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
Month end closings experience preferred
Year end closings experience
