Description
Leading manufacturing company located in the Philadelphia Suburbs seeks a Staff Accountant with advanced Microsoft Excel abilities. As the Staff Accountant, you will assist with preparing and maintaining financial records, monitoring the company’s assets, overseeing general ledger activities, coordinating monthly/quarterly inventory counts, maintaining proper cash flow, and developing and implementing process improvements. The ideal candidate for this role should have great problem-solving skills, excellent time-management and strong budgeting/forecasting abilities that will ensure revenue generation.
Everyday Responsibilities
· Support daily accounting functions
· Month End/Year End Close
· Account and Bank Reconciliations
· Maintain general ledger
· Time sheet reconciliation
· Journal Entries
· Audit Preparation
· Prepare financial reports
· Resolve accounting discrepancies
· Ad hoc accounting projects
Requirements
The ideal Staff Accountant will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
Other requirements for the Staff Accountant role include and are not limited to:
· 1+ years accounting, in a manufacturing environment
· Small/mid-sized company experience ideal
· Proficient in Microsoft Office, Advanced Excel
· Sage experience a plus
· Excellent communication skills
