Description
We are seeking a CFO/Controller to join our team based in Spring, Texas. This role is central to our operations within the construction industry. As a CFO/Controller, you will be integral in managing our financial operations, driving fiscal decision-making, and ensuring the profitability of our projects.
Responsibilities:
• Participate in the development of company's plans and programs as a strategic partner
• Oversee the management of all aspects of the company's financial operations, including systems for financial and accounting controls, budgeting, tax planning, and risk management
• Conduct budget management, financial analysis, forecasting, and cost-benefit analysis
• Implement and maintain accurate cost accounting procedures to provide detailed visibility into the profitability of projects
• Optimize bidding and pricing strategies through accurate data analysis
• Manage project financing and cash flow forecasting, performing analysis to optimize cash resources
• Coordinate annual audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements
• Maintain relationships with lending institutions and the financial community
• Process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) accurately and efficiently
• Ensure accurate monthly financial reporting, adhering to construction accounting standards
• Utilize your proficiency in QuickBooks Online and other financial software to streamline operations.
Requirements • Holds a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role
• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Demonstrates knowledge and experience in auditing practices
• Familiar with budget processes and financial reporting
• Possesses experience in month-end close procedures
• Holds expertise in construction accounting, construction industry, and construction projects - accounting
• Skilled in using Quickbooks Online
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required, a master's degree is preferred
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is preferred
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strong numerical proficiency
• Ability to communicate financial information to non-financial colleagues
• Strong leadership skills and experience in managing a team
• Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and work under pressure.
