Robert Half Human Resources (HR) Assistant in Springfield, Massachusetts

Description We are seeking a Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team in Springfield, Massachusetts. The HR Assistant will be instrumental in handling employee-related services, regulatory compliance, and employee relations, among other HR functions. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate and streamline the application process for potential employees

• Handle background checks for potential employees in compliance with regulatory standards

• Utilize HRMS and ADP Workforce Now for efficient HR operations and record maintenance

• Conduct auditing of HR practices and procedures to ensure compliance

• Manage benefit functions, ensuring employees are informed and benefit programs are administered effectively

• Provide exceptional customer service, responding to employee inquiries and resolving issues promptly

• Utilize ATS for efficient recruitment and hiring processes

• Implement 'About Time' for effective time management across the team

• Utilize Ceridian for payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism in dealing with sensitive employee data. Requirements • Possess proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now

• Have a working knowledge of ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode

• Familiarity with Ceridian and HRMS software

• Experience with About Time software

• Competence in Auditing processes

• Ability to conduct Background Checks effectively

• Understanding of Benefit Functions

• Possess excellent Customer Service skills

• Ability to maintain and respect confidentiality

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is a plus
