Description

We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Instructor/Trainer in the Education industry, located in Springfield, Massachusetts. This role primarily focuses on instructional design for a higher education setting, with a keen emphasis on Learning Management Systems like Canvas. The successful candidate will bring a blend of technical skills, including proficiency in various computer programs and Microsoft Excel, along with strong communication and customer service abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement instructional materials for higher education courses

• Utilize Learning Management Systems, particularly Canvas, to deliver course content

• Manage and maintain course content on Learning Management Systems

• Collaborate with faculty and other staff to improve instructional materials

• Utilize Microsoft Excel and other computer programs to track and report on course engagement and success

• Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff to resolve any issues or inquiries related to course content

• Provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders involved in the course design and implementation process

• Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in instructional design and education technology

• Continuously strive to improve the learning experience for students through innovative instructional design strategies.

Requirements • Minimum three years of teaching or training experience in the education sector.

• Proficiency in computer programs and Microsoft Excel.

• Familiarity with management systems and learning management systems.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Expertise in using Canvas for teaching or training purposes.

• Knowledge of instructional design principles and methodologies.

• Ability to manage and organize multiple tasks concurrently.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team.

• Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.

• Experience in developing and implementing training programs.

• Proven track record of enhancing student learning experience through innovative teaching methods.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; a Master's degree would be an advantage.

• Ability to adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with students and colleagues.

• Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion in the classroom.
