Description
Senior Accountant opportunity with a construction company in the Springfield area. The Senior Accountant will primarily be focused on financial statement preparation and consolidation, financial analysis, account reconciliations, journal entry preparation, general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, billing and ad hoc responsibilities. The ideal Senior Accountant will have a minimum of 3+ years of experience ideally in the construction industry, knowledge of project cost accounting and experience working in ERP software. A minimum of a BS degree in Accounting is required while an advanced degree is preferred.

Requirements
Great attention to detail
Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued
BA/BS in Accounting
Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills
Strong time management skills preferred
Financial statement preparation experience preferred
Proficiency in account reconciliation
Expertise in Journal Entry Preparation
Solid understanding of month end closings
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience
ERP system experience
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
Ability to meet deadlines
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
