Description Robert Half is seeking an individual to fill the role of an Accounting Clerk for an esteemed organization in the financial services industry. The primary responsibilities of the Accounting Clerk will include but not be limited to assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R), matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, and general forms of data entry. This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire employment based in the Springfield, Missouri area.
Put together statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources
Patch up discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
Overall accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
Help Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing
Order documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes
Submit financial figures to journals and ledgers
Work with Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance Requirements - Knowledge of Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
Account reconciliation experience
Quality experience with Banking Industry
General familiarity with Ledger Reconciliations
Well-founded grasp of cash reconciliations
Balance Sheet Reconciliation experience
Proven knowledge of Bank Account Reconciliation
Practical knowledge of reconciliations
Bank reconciliations experience highly desired
Bank Account Reconciliation experience
Wide ranging experience with general ledger
Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical
AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
Prior experience in Spreadsheet and ERP system
Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
