Description A Robert Half client located in the western suburbs is immediately seeking an Accounting Manager. The Accounting Manager will manage a small accounting team and be responsible for preparing financial statements, general ledger accounting, weekly payroll, and reconciling accounts. The Accounting Manager will also handle inventory, sales & property taxes, and more.

To be successful in the role, the Accounting Manager will need a Bachelor's degree (accounting, finance, etc.) and at least five years of relevant experience. ERP experience and strong Microsoft Excel skills are required. Manufacturing and/or distribution industry experience is required.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions

• Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC) is preferred

• Knowledge of general Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proven skills in Auditing

• Familiarity with Billing Functions

• Knowledge of GAAP Accounting

• Experience in making Journal Entries

• Proficiency in Inventory Controls

• Ability to manage General Ledger

• Experience with Sage 100 is a plus

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in handling Weekly Payroll

• Familiarity with Payroll for under 100 Employees

• Experience in preparing Financial Statement

• Knowledge of Sales Tax and Property Tax

• Experience in the Wholesale Distribution - Dur Goods industry is preferred
