Robert Half Sr. Accountant in St Charles, Illinois

Description We are offering an opportunity in ST CHARLES, Illinois, 60174-5410, United States for a Sr. Accountant to join our team in the telecom industry. This role will focus on fixed asset accounting, general ledger accounting, month end close, reconciliations, balance sheets, capital expenditures, and lease accounting. You will also be expected to use NetSuite heavily and partner with the Controller to perform financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Handle fixed asset accounting tasks to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of company assets.

• Execute general ledger accounting duties to maintain accurate financial records.

• Oversee month end close processes for timely financial reporting.

• Conduct reconciliations to ensure all financial transactions are accounted for and correctly posted.

• Prepare balance sheets to provide insight into the company's financial standing.

• Manage capital expenditures to ensure they are within budget and properly accounted for.

• Handle lease accounting tasks to keep track of company leases.

• Utilize NetSuite extensively for various accounting operations.

• Collaborate with the Controller to perform financial analysis and provide insights for decision making.

• Use your skills in Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, NetSuite, and Fixed Asset Accounting for executing your responsibilities. Requirements • Must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accountant role or similar

• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation and Bank Reconciliations

• Extensive knowledge and experience with General Ledger management

• Ability to create and manage Journal Entries

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting

• Experience in Month End Close procedures

• Familiarity with NetSuite or similar financial software

• Expertise in Fixed Asset Accounting

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required

• Professional accounting certification such as CPA is preferred

• Ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting tight deadlines

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Knowledge of accounting best practices and regulations

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
