Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in St. Joseph, Tennessee

Description We have a client who is looking to fill a Full Charge Bookkeeper role promptly with a candidate who can lead the clerical staff and manage full cycle A/P, payroll, bank reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, cash flow, financial statement preparation, and audit. Responsibilities

  • Other assignments as requested

  • Assemble sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments

  • Set up subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement

  • Accomplished in credit card management and reconciliation

  • Log budget transfers

  • Prepare cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc.

  • Recap business license and gross receipts

  • Arrange monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents

  • Administer monthly accounting close

  • Lead Accounts Receivable

  • Supply cash flow projections, as needed

  • Manage Accounts Payable Requirements - Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines

  • Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Federal Tax Return

  • Proficiency in Full Charge Bookkeeping

  • Adeptness in QuickBooks

  • Bookkeeping experience

  • General familiarity with Federal Income Tax Return

  • Solid understanding of Basic Bookkeeping

  • Cash reconciliations experience

  • Bank reconciliations experience

  • Practical knowledge of Income Tax Return

  • Journal entries experience highly preferred

  • Strong analytical skills with ability to implement solutions and vendor management experience with good organizational skills

  • Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

  • Strong communication and social skills

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred

  • Highly organized and self-motivated

    • Remarkable accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
