Robert Half Accounts Receivable Specialist in St Louis Park, Minnesota

Description

We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist for our client's manufacturing facility in St Louis Park, Minnesota. As an integral part of the team, you will be responsible for researching and resolving customer payment disputes across various business lines. This role involves direct communication with customers and cross-functional teams to resolve open disputes in a timely and accurate manner, working towards exceeding department benchmarks.

Responsibilities:

• Secure and organize dispute backups from customers via website, email, or phone.

• Conduct research on unknown disputes and communicate partial payment invoices.

• Document research findings on unknown reasons in Get Paid.

• Review write-offs processed by automated cash application instructions to identify systemic issues.

• Research and resolve all types of disputes in accordance with established policies and authorization limits.

• Conduct root cause analysis and collaborate with the customer and internal teams to reduce the flow of new disputes.

• Research, summarize, and present facts in writing and verbally to customers and the internal sales team to dispute and collect unauthorized disputes.

• Develop and maintain relationships to improve internal business partnerships and work more collaboratively.

• Participate in recurring Accounts Receivable business review meetings.

• Keep the supervisor informed of activities that may require their attention.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or similar positions

• Proficiency in Dispute Resolution and Account Reconciliation processes

• Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) best practices

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• High level of integrity and professionalism

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred.
