Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Contracts Attorney in the Engineering industry. The role involves managing and overseeing various legal and contractual processes, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately incorporate contract provisions, laws, regulations, and policies into various documents.

• Recommend changes to contract terms at both the proposal and final stages of the contract process.

• Develop and implement best practices for contract procedures and processes.

• Communicate effectively with clients to complete priority projects on time.

• Review and monitor internal and external contract reporting.

• Oversee the entire contract process, from drafting to execution.

• Interpret contract terms and conditions, analyze issues, and formulate resolutions.

• Work with internal teams to ensure compliance with procurement processes.

• Coordinate contractual insurance requirements with insurance agents.

• Maintain high ethical standards and comply with company policy, laws, and regulations.

• Provide recommendations and negotiate with customer attorneys or legal staff to create a final document acceptable to all parties.

• Manage company federal and state professional registrations and licensing

Requirements

• Must possess a Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school

• A minimum of 10 years of experience as a Contracts Attorney in the Engineering industry

• Proven expertise in Commercial Contracts, including negotiations with government entities

• Exceptional negotiation skills and ability to interpret and draft complex legal agreements

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Familiarity with contract management software

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry trends and developments
