Description
We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in St Louis Park, Minnesota. As a part of our team, you will be tasked with various responsibilities in the Marketing/PR industry, including processing payroll, maintaining employee records, and ensuring excellent customer service standards.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process new hire paperwork and enter information into the payroll system
• Execute bi-weekly or semi-monthly payroll, including timesheet calculations and data entry
• Maintain high standards of customer service in line with company policies
• Handle child support, garnishment, and tax levy orders and payments
• Ensure appropriate insurance and benefit deductions are withheld from employee payroll checks
• Manage employee paid time off plans
• Maintain proper storage of all payroll timesheets and related documents within the electronic data storage system
• Communicate effectively across multiple departments
• Use strong time management and organization skills to meet deadlines
• Use data entry skills to maintain accurate customer credit records.
Requirements • Proficient in Data Entry and High-Volume Data Entry tasks
• Demonstrated skills in Data Entry - Numeric
• Excellent Communication abilities, both written and verbal
• Familiarity with payroll and related systems in the Marketing/PR industry
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficient in using payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to meet strict deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Understanding of payroll regulations and requirements in the Marketing/PR industry
• Experience with financial reporting and documentation.
