Robert Half Accountant - Entry Level in Stamford, Connecticut

Description We are offering a contract-to-hire employment opportunity for an Entry Level Accountant in the Real Estate Development industry, based in Stamford, Connecticut. The successful candidate will be expected to assist in various accounting functions, including the preparation of financial reports, the development of internal control procedures, and the support of invoice processes, among other duties.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the creation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

• Assist with the forecast and budgeting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Support the invoice process through the review, verification, and reconciliation of invoices

• Conduct financial audits and prepare comprehensive reports for management

• Play a key role in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy

• Collaborate with team members to enhance and streamline accounting processes

• Ensure compliance with state and federal accounting regulations, maintaining knowledge of any changes

• Perform reconciliations and schedule computations for various accounts

• Provide assistance with other accounting, finance, or administrative tasks as required

• Contribute to the maintenance of accurate customer credit records and the processing of customer credit applications. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices

• Familiarity with account analysis and reconciliation

• Ability to handle accounting entries and related functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is a plus

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Willingness to adhere to all company policies and procedures

• Demonstrated integrity and ethical standards

• Eagerness to learn and grow within the real estate industry.
