Candidates with the ability to to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close will be preferred. This role is a great opportunity for someone who wants to participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. Your responsibilities in this role
Manage schedules for monthly payments and capital lease
Compose journal entries and conduct the month end close with minimal supervision
Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks
Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries
Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP
Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation
Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner
In-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations
Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliation
Produce analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for reporting by management
Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiatives
Ad hoc reporting and performing special projects upon request Requirements - BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
Recent and relevant accounting experience
Extraordinary analytical, quantitative and social skills
Proficient in ERP systems
Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Spreadsheet and database capabilities
Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills
