Description
We are on the lookout for a meticulous Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in the financial services industry. Located in Stamford, Connecticut, the role involves managing vendor files as part of the Accounts Payable system integration, ensuring the accuracy and compliance of invoices, and providing both technical and administrative support.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the implementation of vendor files as part of the Accounts Payable system integration
• Manage and maintain extensive spreadsheets for tracking agreements and entries in Great Plains software
• Perform detailed verification of invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Regularly engage with a large number of vendors, organizing meetings to track and discuss progress
• Ensure clear and effective communication of project statuses and updates to the Accounts Payable Manager
• Utilize skills in Accounts Payable, Microsoft Excel, MS Great Plains Accounting, and Great Plains (GPAC) to perform tasks efficiently.
Requirements • Previous experience of at least 1 year in a similar role or in the field of financial services
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Demonstrable experience with Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and systems
• Knowledge and experience with MS Great Plains Accounting software
• Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC) software
• Possess strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
