Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist, CPG Firm PO Matching a must in Stamford, Connecticut
Description
We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our client in the manufacturing and CPG industry, based in Stamford, Connecticut. The role will involve handling various types of invoices across multiple companies, ensuring supplier invoices are captured accurately, and managing accounts payable processes and procedures. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an individual with skills in Accounts Payable (AP), MS Dynamics AX, 3 Way Matching, Code Invoices, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), Aging Reports, and Billing Statements.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for data entry, validation, and processing of various types of invoices across multiple companies.
• Ensure all supplier invoices are valid and accurately captured in the accounting system.
• Utilize the “3-way matching” payment verification process comparing the purchase information across related documents and investigate discrepancies.
• Manage the goods received not invoiced report and clear open items promptly.
• Provide clear and courteous engagement with suppliers to obtain supplier statements and resolve all queries or disputes.
• Resolve problems and discrepancies, respond to vendor inquiries, research invoice copies, check billing documentation, and manage other financial processes as needed.
• Review and address accounts payable aging report for all aged invoices.
• Continuously review accounts payable processes, procedures and internal controls to ensure they are efficient and working properly.
Requirements
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) operations and principles
• Proficient in using MS Dynamics AX for various accounting tasks
• Familiarity with the 3 Way Matching process in accounting
• Ability to accurately Code Invoices as per company guidelines
• Understanding of the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) concept
• Experience in preparing and analyzing Aging Reports
• Knowledge of generating accurate Billing Statements in a timely manner
