Description

We are looking for a Controller in the Payment Sector/Pay Any Day /FinTech industry, located in Stamford, Connecticut, United States. The Controller will be responsible for leading the entire financial closing process, implementing robust internal controls, overseeing cash flow, and maintaining comprehensive financial budgets and forecasts. This role will also ensure the company adheres to all tax regulations and filing requirements and stays updated on relevant regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the financial closing process, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.

• Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard financial assets and uphold data integrity.

• Oversee cash flow effectively, forecasting future needs and optimizing working capital.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive financial budgets and forecasts to support business strategy.

• Ensure the company adheres to all tax regulations and filing requirements.

• Stay updated on relevant regulations and ensure the company operates within compliance guidelines.

• Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights for business decisions, including funding requirements, product development, and market expansion.

• Participate in strategic discussions and contribute financial expertise to guide company growth.

• Communicate financial information effectively to investors and potential investors.

• Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks.

Requirements

The right candidate would have:

• Familiarity with relevant fintech regulations governing prepaid cards, digital wallets and money transmission.

• Familiarity with Pay Any-Day product, digital accountant with Visa Debit Card.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Solutions.

• Familiarity with DCAA guidelines and ADP - Financial Services.

• Experience in overseeing accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Knowledge of auditing and budgeting processes.

• Experience in Controllership roles.
