Description
My massively growing, PE backed company is looking to hire a Sr. Accountant to join their team due to growth. This company is growing rapidly with tons of M& A activities.
This role prepares and consolidates financial statements, analyzes and reconciles accounts, analyzes cash flow, creates budgets and forecasts, prepares audits, and manages internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting to attain company goals. The role requires superb analytical skills, and the work environment is challenging and fast-paced. Great compensation, benefits, and chances for advancement are all part of the package.
How you will make an impact
Complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables that includes journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in the compensation area in compliance with GAAP
Review financial information such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. and present analysis in a clear manner
Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions
When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests
Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Allocate and prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for management
Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives
Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary

Requirements - Month end closings experience required
ASC 606 experience desired
Ability to meet deadlines
Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Strong communication skills and able to receive criticism well
Demonstrated ability in strong analytical, quantitative and social skills
Great attention to detail
Must have excellent time management skills
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Proficient in ERP systems
5+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
