We are in search of a meticulous Senior Accountant to join our team in Stamford, Connecticut. This role is central to our financial operations, focusing on maintaining accurate financial records, preparing complex financial reports, and analyzing current costs and revenues. The successful candidate will also be instrumental in developing and implementing internal controls, maintaining strong relationships with other team members, and contributing to continuous improvement of accounting processes.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain financial records and ensure financial transactions are accurately recorded.

• Reconcile subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger.

• Prepare complex balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.

• Analyze current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to predict future revenues and expenses.

• Ensure timely financial close, including performing and reviewing journal entries, balance sheet or income statement account reconciliations, and reporting commentary.

• Perform administrative duties related to the company’s corporate credit cards.

• Maintain the general ledger and audit daily transactions.

• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets and ensure compliance.

• Compile data and schedules required for external financial audit, government audits, and sales tax audits/filings.

• Assist with ad-hoc projects and other duties as requested.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, and Month End Close.

• Experience with NetSuite, Oracle, and/or SAP is advantageous.

• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work well with others and maintain strong working relationships.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Sr. Accountant or similar role in the accounting field

• Strong knowledge of Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Proficiency in General Ledger maintenance and Journal Entries

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting

• Experience with Month End Close process

• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and/or SAP accounting software

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
