Description

We are looking for a dedicated Patient Access Specialist to join our team in Stanford, California. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing patient admissions, registrations, and payments, while ensuring compliance with billing requirements. You will also be responsible for identifying patients' insurance coverage or financial resources and providing excellent customer service to address inquiries and concerns.

Responsibilities:

• Securely handle and accurately record payments collected during point-of-service delivery

• Develop a foundational understanding of various health insurance coverage options and related processes

• Address routine patient escalations and perform service recovery as necessary

• Collaborate with experienced team members to escalate advanced or complex registrations

• Greet and initiate the registration process for patients, maintaining professional communication with various stakeholders

• Meet weekly productivity and performance indicators while prioritizing tasks as directed by department leadership

• Provide excellent customer service to all individuals encountered during the course of duties

• Perform a combination of responsibilities across all areas of Patient Access Service operations.

Requirements • Proficiency in checking patients in and out of their appointments

• Demonstrated ability to handle Patient Access duties diligently

• Solid experience in managing Patient Accounts

• Proficiency in using EpiCare Inpatient software for patient management

• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, medical staff, and administrative personnel

• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines

• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
