Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Statesville, North Carolina
Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Statesville, North Carolina. As part of our team, your role will primarily involve executing accounts payable functions, maintaining vendor relationships, and performing data analysis using accounting software.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze and validate company invoices for appropriate documentation.
• Conduct comprehensive accounts payable functions, including invoice recording, payment processing, and discrepancy resolution.
• Maintain vendor relations and process accounts payable.
• Leverage SAP to record and process information, and generate reports on a regular basis.
• Provide support during internal and external audits.
• Assist in facilitating and completing monthly close procedures.
• Implement and maintain systems, procedures, and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
• Analyze data, identify discrepancies and trends, and make necessary corrections and/or adjustments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments as part of accounts payable reporting and operations.
• Conduct regular reconciliation of accounts payable related accounts. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Coding and Account Analysis
• Demonstrated experience with Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with Concur and SAP systems
• A strong understanding and experience in Accounts Payable (AP)
• Knowledge of Accrual Accounting
• Auditing skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
• Experience with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions
• Understanding of manufacturing industry accounting practices
• Ability to conduct Ad Hoc Analysis
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex accounts
• High level of integrity and trustworthiness.
