Robert Half Budget Analyst in Staunton, Virginia
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Budget Analyst to join our team located in Staunton, Virginia. This role is crucial in examining budget estimates and proposals for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with established procedures, regulations, and organizational objectives in the telecom industry.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with program and project managers to develop the organization's budget
• Review managers' budget proposals for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with laws and other regulations
• Consolidate all the program and department budgets into a consolidated organizational budget and review all funding requests for merit
• Communicate recommendations for funding requests to other members of the organization
• Assist top managers in analyzing the proposed plan and finding alternatives if the projected results are unsatisfactory
• Monitor organizational spending to ensure that it is within budget
• Update program managers of the status and availability of funds
• Estimate future financial needs based on current trends and data
• Use Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) for accounting functions and budget processes
• Monitor expenditure and provide accurate expense reporting, while managing the annual operating budget. Requirements • Profound knowledge of budget processes and budget management.
• Experience in handling annual operating budgets.
• Proficient in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
• Strong understanding of accounting functions.
• Expertise in expenditure and expense reporting.
• Ability to monitor budgets and make necessary adjustments.
• Proficiency in budget forecasting and planning.
• Familiarity with financial software and reporting systems.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
