Robert Half Attorney/Lawyer in Sterling Heights, Michigan
Description Robert Half is excited to partner with a distinguished law firm in their search for a dynamic Family Law Associate. This role will manage a variety of family law-related tasks such as drafting legal documents for divorce, custody, and support actions, managing detailed discovery and research, and participating in all relevant court hearings.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, review, and file legal documents including pleadings, motions, and other court filings in family law cases.
Coordinate and conduct comprehensive discovery procedures and depositions, including the preparation of witnesses.
Attend and advocate for clients at court hearings, trials, and other related proceedings.
Handle negotiations during various stages of the litigation process acting as a forceful advocate for clients.
Maintain exceptional client service, encourage positive communication, and effectively manage client expectations.
Qualifications:
A minimum of five years of experience working in family law.
Fully licensed and in good relations with the State Bar of Michigan.
Superior oral and written communication skills.
Innate self-motivation and the ability to work successfully both independently and as part of a team.
Remarkable attention to detail coupled with excellent time management skills.
Attuned client service skills and the ability to manage clients' needs and expectations with sensitivity and professionalism.
