As the Controller, you will plan and direct all accounting operational functions, manage the accumulation and consolidation of financial information for internal and external financial statements, assess accounting and internal control systems, and guide departmental staff. Your responsibilities in this role
-Payables, Receivables, Payroll, General Ledger, Financial Statements, Fixed Assets. Regular account reconciliations.
Prepare cash-flow reports that project cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and handle daily cash management
Check deliverables of self and team to certify they meet client expectations
Analyze, apply and improve policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies
Lead the operations of the finance department which includes accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll
Advance Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed, with research, planning and implementation
Manage the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is on time
Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them monthly
Handle monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis
Give executive committee and partners monthly financial reports
Collaborate with executive team and partners to support efficient and effective firm-wide operation
-Hands on small company manufacturing controllership/FCB experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
-GAAP Experience required
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
Outstanding technology, analytics and management experience required
Progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred
Excellent verbal, written, and social skills
Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued

BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field
