Bill Watts at Robert Half is looking for an ambitious, eager Plant Finance Manager to join the team at a well-respected manufacturing company. This leadership role oversees the finance and accounting for the plant. The Finance Manger plans and directs all accounting and finance operational functions, internal control systems, and leads departmental staff. This person will work with operations in finding cost savings and operational efficiencies while maintaining the financial continuity of the plant. Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure that firm-wide operation is efficient and effective
Handle monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis
Research, prepare and execute Finance Department initiatives such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as required
Analyze, apply and improve policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies
Check deliverables of self and team to certify they meet client expectations
Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them monthly
Each month, present executive committee and partners with financial reports
Handle daily cash management and produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Distinguished analytical, quantitative and social skills
Skilled in the construction and delivery of effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field
Manufacturing experience is mandatory
Excellent technology, analytics and management experience required
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent
