Robert Half Director of Revenue in Sterling, Virginia
Description
In your role as the Revenue Director, you will report directly to the Chief Revenue Officer, managing all components of the company’s revenue. This includes critical tasks such as overseeing pricing strategies to optimize profit margins, handling client returns, supervising efficiencies, and making sure we meet our financial objectives. My client is a privately held food manufacturing and distribution with HQ in northern VA and both a domestic and global presence. This is a fast-paced, high growth environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Aid the Global Revenue function as the Revenue Director in the US
· Collaborate closely with the US Commercial team to achieve revenue targets across different sales channels
· Coordinate with Finance and Operations teams for precise revenue and margin reporting, tracking of KPIs and related discrepancies against standards
· Act as a leader in discussions with Commercial, Finance, Research & Development, Quality Assurance, Operations, and Costing teams on new product launches and limited time offers to maintain accuracy and consistency
· Engage with the Costing Director in dialogues with Procurement, Logistics, and Operations on hedging strategies and custom pricing models
· Supervise standards and price updates monthly for distinct price groups
· Monitor the daily development of revenue strategy with Key Accounts in coordination with the Sales team
· Report on revenue trends and predictions to Management on a weekly basis and coordinate with the Commercial team to develop proactive strategies to prevent or reduce margin compression
· Advise on contract terms looking to maximize company revenue; review new and revised Customer Agreements
· Improve and develop internal controls for revenue management activities
· Identify and solve revenue-related issues promptly
· Approve pricing decisions
· Play a key role in strategic initiatives
· Oversee others work and act as a substitute for team members when needed.

Requirements
EXPERIENCE:
· Preferred background in financial planning and analysis
· At least 10 years of combined experience in industry-related roles and costing/pricing analysis, food manufacturing is a plus
· Client and portfolio management experience is an asset
· Leadership and people management skills are necessary
· Profound knowledge and experience in costing, pricing, and ROI calculations
· Familiarity with NetSuite, Plexus is a significant advantage
· A motivated, team-oriented player, thriving in a fast-paced and diverse growth environment
EDUCATION:
· BA or BS in Finance/Accounting or an equivalent
