Robert Half Financial Analyst/Manager in Sterling, Virginia

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst/Manager to join our team in Sterling, Virginia. This role involves monitoring various financial metrics and accounting activities, assessing direct and indirect costs, and providing weekly reports of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). You will also collaborate with local Accounting/Finance departments and Plant Managers to achieve optimal financial results.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor plants results against budget and local cost metrics trends.

• Collaborate with the Planning department to quantify and measure financial returns versus production forecast.

• Drive the site to meet optimal financial results by providing guidance to Plant Managers on cost targets and standards.

• Monitor and analyze production yield, downtime, and labor, and report weekly on attainment and KPIs trends.

• Work closely with operations and warehousing leadership to ensure all financial transactions and reporting are complete, accurate, and timely.

• Support and lead the coordination of all internal and external financial and operational audits and address any audit findings with plant & warehousing and corporate leadership.

• Perform frequent walk-throughs of local manufacturing site with Plant Leadership to address production and costing issues and efficiency improvements.

• Document short- and long-term department goals and objectives in the form of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Monitor capacity week over week versus efficiency/automation opportunities.

• Monitor, analyze, and report period over period actual results against the budget.

• Must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Financial Analyst or Manager

• Proficient in CapEx, Budget Processes, and Cost Analysis

• Demonstrable experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A)

• Strong skills in Business Analysis are essential

• Previous experience in the Manufacturing Industry is highly desirable

• Must have a clear understanding of Manufacturing Operations

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Must have a keen attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and high-quality work

• CPA or CFA certification will be considered as an advantage

• Strong team player with the ability to also work independently when required

• Must be legally eligible to work in the location of the job.
