Description
We are in search of a Tax Accountant to join our team in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. This role is responsible for servicing clients' accounting needs and preparing individual income tax returns. The successful candidate will work closely with several CPAs and will be instrumental in maintaining high levels of compliance and accuracy in our accounting processes.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare individual income tax returns
• Ensure compliance with personal income tax laws during the preparation of tax returns
• Handle accounting functions such as bookkeeping and financial statement preparation
• Proactively resolve customer queries and concerns
• Prepare Partnership and S-Corporation income tax returns as needed
• Use intermediate Excel skills for data organization and analysis
Requirements
• Familiarity with Financial Statement preparation and analysis is required
• Understanding of Compliance within the financial sector is necessary
• Experience with E1040, Form 1120, and IRS Form 1065 is crucial
• Proficiency in Bookkeeping is beneficial
• Applicants should have strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team is necessary
• Professional certification in accounting or tax-related field is advantageous.
