Description

Jackie Meza with Robert Half is seeking a Controller. This role is key to our organization as it involves overseeing all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures. Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all general ledger activity

• Ensure timely reporting of all monthly financial information

• Collaborate with the other finance department managers to support overall department goals and objectives

• Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy

• Respond to inquiries from the director of finance, and other finance and company-wide managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests and the like

• Work with the controller to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit

• Supervise the general ledger group to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met

• Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department

• Provide training to new and existing staff as needed

• Handle personnel issues relating to staff conflicts, absenteeism, performance issues, etc.

• Support controller with special projects and workflow process improvements.

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Controller position or similar role.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems.

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services.

• Knowledge of DCAA regulations and guidelines.

• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems.

• Ability to implement and manage ERP Solutions.

• Strong understanding of Accounting Functions.

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Skillset in Auditing procedures and practices.

• Familiarity with Budget Processes and financial forecasting.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.

• Relevant certifications such as CPA or CMA will be considered a plus.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

• Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
