Description

Jackie Meza with Robert Half has an opportunity to join a great team in the role of Controller in Stockton, California. This position is pivotal in managing a team of accountants and overseeing the financial operations of our organization. The Controller will be instrumental in the preparation of financial statements, performing financial analysis, and managing treasury operations. Responsibilities:

• Oversee the operations of the accounting department including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives

• Manage the production of periodic financial reports; ensure that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards

• Direct and oversee all aspects of the finance & accounting functions of the organization

• Evaluate and oversee all benefits negotiations, thus providing the most competitive packages for the organization’s employees

• Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report

• Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics

• Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts

• Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations

• Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies and foreign operations

• Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans

• Develop financial and tax strategies

• Manage the capital request and budgeting processes

Requirements • Proven experience in a Controller role for a minimum of 5 years

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification is mandatory

• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems

• Strong knowledge and experience with ERP Solutions

• Demonstrable experience in managing Accounting Functions

• Expertise in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Solid experience in Auditing processes and procedures

• Familiarity with Budget Processes and financial forecasting

• Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills

• Strong analytical and strategic planning abilities

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
