Description We are offering a contract-to-hire employment opportunity for a motivated Controller in Stockton, California. This role involves overseeing the organization's accounting operations, including financial reporting, regulatory reporting, data analysis, treasury management, collections, payables, and related insurance accounting functions. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that our finance operations remain efficient and effective, and will be instrumental in guiding our financial decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee complete and accurate financial reporting, both regulatory and management.

• Prepare financial updates for Board, Management, Regulators, and Rating Agencies.

• Generate internal financial statements and external regulatory reports.

• Manage treasury functions, including monitoring liquidity.

• Conduct financial analysis and respond to external data requests.

• Oversee reinsurance reporting.

• Leverage accounting and production systems to improve efficiency.

• Supervise a team of accountants and ensure their continuous professional development.

• Perform related duties as assigned to ensure the smooth running of the accounting department.

• Use Accounting Software Systems, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, and ERP Solutions to optimize accounting functions.

• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) in line with company policies.

• Carry out auditing and budget processes as required. Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller role or similar position

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is necessary

• Familiarity with DCAA regulations and standards is essential

• Must have experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions

• Strong understanding of Accounting Functions is required

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary

• Auditing skills are a must

• Must have a solid understanding of Budget Processes

• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required

• Must have a bachelor's degree in finance, business, accounting, or a related field

• CPA or other relevant certification is preferred

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary

• Must have the ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines

• Knowledge of current financial legislation and regulations is required.
