Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in the healthcare, hospitals, and social assistance industry based in Stockton, California. As part of our team, you will play a key role in maintaining our financial records, including purchases, invoices, and payments. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a deep understanding of financial principles.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the full cycle of accounts payable activities including 3-way matching, and processing 300-500 invoices weekly.

• Review financial statements, expenses, and accruals, and prepare necessary documents such as 1099s and used tax filings during the year-end process.

• Work in a corporate accounts payable role, interacting with local teams for branches and checking for errors or missing items in the information they provide.

• Enter all verified and complete data into the General Ledger (Great Plains), ensuring only the corporate office has access.

• Implement rigorous checks and balances to ensure the accuracy of all entered data.

• Utilize software systems such as Great Plains to streamline and automate financial management.

• Apply your expertise in Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger, Coding, 3 Way Matching, and Accruals to maintain financial accuracy.

• Respond to and resolve any inquiries regarding customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.

• Maintain accurate customer credit records. Requirements • Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) processes

• Familiarity with General Ledger operations

• Experience in Coding within the healthcare or social assistance industry

• Knowledge of 3 Way Matching procedures

• Proficiency in managing Accruals

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly

• Proficiency in the use of relevant accounting software applications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred

• Relevant work experience in an Accounts Payable role, preferably in healthcare or social assistance industry.
