You will succeed in this position if you have the ability to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. In this role, you will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. Your responsibilities in this role
Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries
In-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations
Take part in various department-wide initiatives
Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Organize and review a variety of financial data, reporting it in a way that is useful and understandable
Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting
Conduct month end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision
Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments
Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation
Oversee depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting
Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation
Requirements - Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
Ability to meet deadlines
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment
2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Principles
Command of account reconciliation
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
Efficient in ERP systems
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
