We are in search of a Senior Cost Accountant within the Manufacturing industry. Located in Pawcatuck, Connecticut, this role involves handling various accounting functions, utilizing the ERP system, Epicor, and overseeing cash activity. The position calls for someone with a strong background in standard cost accounting, intercompany, inventory, and fixed asset accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the Annual Standard Cost and Month End Close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Perform Bank Reconciliations, ensuring all cash activity is accounted for and discrepancies are resolved.

• Maintain the Fixed Assets register, ensuring it is up to date and accurate.

• Oversee the Intercompany Accounting process, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.

• Handle inventory accounting tasks, ensuring inventory values are correct and discrepancies are resolved.

• Utilize the Epicor ERP system to carry out various accounting functions, ensuring accurate data entry and reporting.

• Handle accounting tasks related to the percentage (%) of completion method, ensuring accurate revenue recognition.

• Regularly review and maintain customer credit records, ensuring they are up to date and accurate.

• Process customer credit applications efficiently, ensuring all necessary checks are carried out.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry

• System Savvy with strong ERP and MS Excel skills

• Strong understanding and experience of Accounting Functions

• Ability to manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Cash Activity efficiently

• Experience in performing Annual Standard Cost calculations and Month End Close

• Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations and Intercompany Accounting

• Experience in Fixed Assets and Inventory Accounting

• Knowledge in performing percentage (%) of completion tasks

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
