Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Stoughton, Massachusetts. The role involves handling various accounting responsibilities within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be responsible for processing month-end balancing, journal entries, general ledger analysis, as well as assisting in the preparation of monthly standard reporting package and excise and sales tax returns for multiple states.

Responsibilities:

• Process month-end balancing and journal entries in an accurate and timely manner

• Conduct general ledger analysis of accounts to ensure financial accuracy

• Assist in the preparation of monthly standard reporting package, contributing to the overall financial reporting process

• Assist in the preparation and filing of excice and sales tax returns for multiple states, ensuring compliance with state regulations

• Handle bank reconciliations, verifying and rectifying discrepancies in financial data

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data processing and reporting tasks

• Leverage skills in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and month-end close processes

• Maintain high levels of accuracy and organization in all aspects of work

• Resolve complex accounting issues as they arise, utilizing problem-solving abilities and organizational skills

• Gain and apply knowledge of the General Ledger and Journal Entries to daily tasks. Requirements

• Possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Proven experience in a staff accounting role is essential

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel is required

• Must have a strong understanding of General Ledger maintenance

• Experience in preparing and posting Journal Entries is necessary

• Demonstrated skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations are essential

• Must have experience with Month End Close procedures

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are required

• Excellent communication and presentation skills are necessary

• Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team

• Familiarity with accounting software and databases is a plus.
