Robert Half Database Developer/Business Intelligence in Sugar Land, Texas
Description
We are recruiting for a Database Developer/Business Intelligence position in REMOTE capacity around Houston or Dallas. This role will involve working closely with our BI team and IT Management to help derive internal business intelligence reporting and development. This will include creating, improving, and maintaining ad hoc and automated reporting and dashboards.
Responsibilities:
• Assisting teams with technical design and implementation of applications using existing and emerging technology platforms.
• Ensuring alignment with data management standards and compliance to change management and security policies.
• Writing SQL queries, stored procedures, and utilizing SQL Server to generate reports and respond to data requests from users.
• Collaborating closely with other technology members to ensure quality of monitoring.
• Clearly communicating problem/resolution processes to users or management.
• Contributing to technical documentation and application procedures.
• Utilizing knowledge of reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SSRS, or similar analytic tools to create reports and dashboards.
• Implementing and maintaining data management standards such as data governance.
• Working closely with non-technical users to translate complex data into understandable insights.
• Utilizing version control systems such as GIT or DevOps.
Requirements • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in database development or business intelligence.
• Proficiency in T-SQL - Transact-SQL.
• Experience with SSIS - SQL Server Integration Services.
• Familiarity with SSIS SSRS.
• Proven skills in Microsoft SSRS.
• Expertise in Power BI.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
