Robert Half Staff Accountant in Sugar Land, Texas
Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team located in Sugar Land, Texas. The primary function of this role will be to handle Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, and General Ledger duties, among other responsibilities. This role is a part of the accounting industry and will be conducted in a professional workplace environment.
Responsibilities
• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded
• Maintain and update the general ledger on a regular basis
• Prepare journal entries and monthly closing processes
• Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP efficiently
• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions to keep accounts current
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer credit records
• Process customer credit applications with precision and efficiency
• Resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally
• Follow and comply with all financial regulations and standards within the industry. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar position.
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Demonstrable experience in Bank Reconciliations.
• Familiarity with General Ledger management.
• Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries.
• Experience with Month End Close procedures.
• Knowledge of NetSuite accounting software.
• Experience with Oracle accounting software.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks accounting software.
• Proficiency in SAP accounting software.
