Description
Robert Half is currently seeking a Staff Accountant with 3+ years of experience with a focus on regulatory tasks. This position is less of transactional accounting and more about regulatory processes to uphold the financial health and integrity of our company.
This position will be 100% onsite
Pay is up to 29/hr DOE
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure adherence to accounting processes and policies as per federal, state, and local legal requirements.
Compile and analyze financial statements and reports.
Maintain detailed reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
Assist in external audit by providing necessary information and explanations.
Participate in financial standards setting and in the forecast process.
Participate and lead regulatory, financial, and management reporting functions.
Ensure accurate, timely, and relevant financial data.
Monitor and resolve accounting discrepancies.
Contribute to a strong internal control environment.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred but not required.
3+ years of experience as a Staff Accountant with strong regulatory focus is required
MUST be proficient in Microsoft Excel
Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Excellent knowledge of federal, state, and local legal financial requirements.
Strong analytical skills and experience in accounting software.
Proficiency in MS Office, especially in excel.
Self-directed and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Powerful communication, planning, and organizational skills.
