Robert Half Plant Controller in Sugarcreek, Ohio

Description We are searching for a Plant Controller to join our team in Sugarcreek, Ohio. In this role, you will be overseeing the operations of the Accounting Department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll. This position requires you to coordinate and lead the monthly closing process, oversee the production of financial reports, and work closely with the management team and external CPA firm.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the operations of the Accounting Department, which include accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll.

• Coordinate and lead the monthly closing process, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.

• Oversee the production of periodic financial reports, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.

• Travel to manufacturing facilities as needed.

• Produce quarterly covenant documents for the bank and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.

• Implement best practices for the elimination of intercompany sales.

• Monitor cash flow, inventory health, and overall quality of earnings.

• Work with the purchasing team to ensure accurate product costing and inventory valuation.

• Develop and implement appropriate tax strategies and long-term financial planning in collaboration with the management team and external CPA firm.

• Participate in the evaluation of large capital investments and acquisitions.

• Recommend benchmarks to measure the company’s financial performance.

• Produce the annual budget and forecasts, reporting significant budget differences to management. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in a Plant Controller role or similar position

• Proficiency in Financial Reporting is required

• Experience in Manufacturing industry is essential

• Must have strong skills in Budgeting and Forecasting

• Proficiency in Cash Flow Analysis is a must

• Experience in Month End Close activities is required

• Must be skilled in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Knowledge of Accounting Operations is essential

• Expertise in using Navision software is required

• Proficiency in QuickBooks is a must
